Fact: Benjamin seems to have
done rather well for himself. He
left just under £600 in his will.
In the days before universal suffrage he also had sufficient means to
vote. In 1836 he appear in the
poll books with brother Michael voting for one John Hodgson Esq in the
municipal elections. He also
appears on the Voter’s register for Butchers Bank in 1834, 37 &
1851--52. |
