Note Thomas: The Bishops Transcripts
for Woughton on the Green 1674 and 1676 were signed by thomas Gilpin as
church Warden.
Note Lucy: Lucy left £5(worth
about £382 today) to each of her sons – except for Thomas who
received the token one shilling.
This is probably an indication that Thomas had already inherited
significant property on the death of his father. Her granddaughter and namesake Lucy
Gilpin also received £5.
Her household goods were
to be divided up evenly between Bernard and Robert. Perhaps because these two were not yet
married. |
